Ghost Elite Package

In the UK, all Ghost Rentals vehicles include mandatory Third Party Liability Insurance (unlimited in most cases, as required by law), basic Vehicle Damage Cover, Theft Protection, and Fire Insurance as standard.

• This basic cover comes with an excess (deductible) that you are responsible for in the event of damage, theft, or loss—typically ranging from £1,200–£2,500 depending on vehicle group (higher for premium/luxury cars).
• Your personal auto insurance or credit card may provide additional coverage—check with your provider in advance.
• At pickup, we offer optional extras for peace of mind, such as:
  • Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)/Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) to reduce or eliminate the excess.
  • Super CDW/Excess Reduction for zero or low excess.
  • Tyre, Glass, and Undercarriage Protection.
  • Roadside Assistance Plus.
  • Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) and Personal Effects Cover. These are not mandatory but recommended if your own insurance is limited. We do not provide primary personal insurance—confirm your coverage needs before travel.

Ghost Rentals accepts the following secure payment methods in the UK:

• Major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club) in the primary renter's name (preferred for deposits and authorizations).
• Major debit cards (Visa and Mastercard debit) are accepted at most locations, but may require additional verification (e.g., proof of address, return travel, or higher deposit). Pre-paid cards, Visa Electron, Maestro, and cash are generally not accepted.
• A pre-authorization hold (security deposit) will be placed on your card at pickup to cover the excess, fuel, extras, or potential charges—typically £200–£2,000+ depending on vehicle and location. This hold is released after the vehicle is returned undamaged (processing time varies by bank). All cards must be in the primary renter's name and have sufficient available funds/credit.

• Free cancellation: Most reservations can be canceled free of charge up to 48–72 hours before the scheduled pickup time (check your booking confirmation for exact terms).
• Cancellations within 48 hours (or less than 3 days in some cases) may incur a fee, often equivalent to 1–3 days' rental charge or a fixed amount (e.g., £40).
• No-shows (failure to collect without prior notice) are typically charged the full reservation amount.
• Modifications: Changes to dates, times, vehicle type, or location are subject to availability and may result in rate adjustments (rates fluctuate daily). Contact us as soon as possible—last-minute changes could incur fees or be unavailable.
• Prepaid or promotional bookings may have stricter rules; always refer to your confirmation email or contact our team for assistance.

• Smoking: Ghost Rentals operates a strictly non-smoking fleet across all vehicles. Smoking, vaping, or using e-cigarettes is prohibited. Any violation will result in a specialist deep-cleaning fee (typically £200–£400+) to remove odors and residue, plus potential loss of deposit.
• Pets: Pets are not permitted in our vehicles unless pre-approved and in specific pet-friendly cars (advance notice required). Service animals (assistance dogs) are always welcome at no extra charge in line with UK law and incur no fees or restrictions. For approved pets: They must be suitably restrained (e.g., in a carrier or harness), and owners are responsible for any cleaning, damage, or extra fees due to hair, odors, or accidents (e.g., deep-cleaning charges). Please inform us at booking to check availability.

The minimum age to rent a vehicle with Ghost Rentals in the UK is 21–23 years old, depending on the vehicle group and location (many suppliers set 23+ as standard).

• Drivers aged 21–24 (or up to 25–28 in some cases) are classified as young drivers and will incur a Young Driver Surcharge (typically £25–£40+ per day, often capped at 10–28 days).
• Young drivers may be restricted from certain vehicle categories (e.g., premium, luxury, large SUVs, people carriers, or high-performance cars).
• All drivers must have held a full valid licence for at least 12 months (1 year).
• There is no strict maximum age, but drivers must meet our standard requirements (valid licence, acceptable record, etc.). Age and surcharge details vary by vehicle and branch—confirm during booking or contact us for your specific reservation.
